Privacy policy

We are keenly aware of the trust you place in us and our responsibility to protect your privacy. As part of this responsibility, we let you know what information we collect when you use our products and services, why we collect it and how we use it to improve your experience. We hope the way in which we gather and use your personal information addresses and respects any concerns you may have.

 

We will only use the personal information we gather:

  • In the normal course of our business to provide the products and services you have requested.

  • To identify you when you contact us.

  • To determine if we can offer you a better service or more relevant products.

  • All data we hold comes directly from you. It includes name, address, contact details, where and when you are getting married, and your dress and accessory details.

  • We keep your information while you are our customer and afterwards only where necessary, for example, for VAT returns or other legal reasons. We will only keep it for as long as we need to.

  • For security, legal and training purposes we may record and monitor telephone calls and voice mails left on our answer machine; such recordings are deleted as soon as they have been dealt with or replied. We also record external and internal CCTV images for security reasons; the recordings are deleted after 31 days, but could be made available to the police, on their request, within this period.

 

We will disclose your personal information only to:

  • Any suppliers/third parties that we use to conduct our business.

  • Any person to whom we transfer our rights or obligations under this agreement.

  • If required or compelled to do so by law.

  • To send you e-mail updates of service changes which are important to you or which we feel may be of interest to you (unless you have opted out of any marketing communications by following the unsubscribe step at the bottom of the marketing emails or ticking the box on your order form).

  • For statistical analysis, including automated techniques (e.g. behaviour and credit scoring) and to monitor and analyse our business.

  • We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

 

You have the following rights:

  • To be informed of how we use your personal data.

  • To update your personal data.

  • To ask us to delete your personal data, although we may have to retain it for legal

reasons for a period of time.

  • To object to the use of your data and ask us to restrict it, however we may legally be allowed to refuse.

  • The right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner (www.ico.org.uk) if you think that any of your rights have been infringed by us.
